She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Rushing; her son Ricky Owens; her parents, Casty Nelson and Fannie Birdie Nelson; and her siblings, Waylon Nelson, Lathan Nelson, Willodean Galimore and Maureen Hudson.
She is survived by: her children, Dondy Rushing of Saraland, AL, Sherrie Tart (Haywood) of Chunchula, AL and Leta Lynch (Jamie) of Chunchula, AL; and her brother Naftel Nelson of Brantley, AL. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
