He was predeceased by: his parents, Henrey Johnson and Viola Stuckey Johnson; and his siblings, Wilma Johnson, Margaret Stuckey, Robert Johnson, Annie Mae Ross, Marie Stuckey, Carrie Lou Gilmore and Hazel Mason.

He is survived by: his wife Odell Johnson; his children, Ronnie Johnson (Jan) and Kay Johnson; his grandchildren, Kristin Thompson (Aaron) and Riley Johnson; his great grandchildren, Molly Thompson and Caleb Thompson; and his close friends, Melvin Robinson, Shirley Robinson and Hope Dunham. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
