He was predeceased by: his parents, S. C. Duke and Ruthie Duke; and his brothers, Willie C. Duke and Leon Duke. He is survived by: his wife Mary P. Duke; his children, Sheila D. Pugh (Brent) and James A. Duke (Martha); his siblings, Mary Jewel Newburn (Roy) and J. C. Duke (Kelly); his grandchildren, James Duke, Robert Duke (Lindsay), Dakota Duke, Adam Stevenson, Ethan Pugh (Kayla) and Caleb Pugh; and his great grandchildren, Dakota Duke, Alex Duke, Archer Duke, Aiden Pugh and Mila Pugh. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
