He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra P. Thomspon; his parents, Harold C. Thompson and Mary H. Thompson; and his sister Elizabeth Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Edwin B. Thompson, Jr. (Connie) of Gardendale and Susan Thompson Fryer of Saraland, Alabama; his grandchildren, Danielle Fryer Caudillo (Zac), Grant Thompson (Kayla), Timothy Fryer and Thomas Fryer; his great grandchild Zoe Thompson; his siblings, Harold C. Thompson, Jr. (Vanette), Richard Thompson (Evelyn) and Barbara Dauphin (Ben); and his close friend Joan Finch.
