She was predeceased by: her son Charles Hightower. She is survived by: her husband Gary Dirmyer; her children, Steve Hightower (David Whaley) of Atlanta and Laura StClair (Don) of Centre; her grandson Joshua StClair; her brother Cochran (Bobbie) of Centre; and her caregivers, Ethel Carson, Sue Brooks and Johnny Cowser.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzhiemers Association.
