It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harmon Travis Gowens of Sand Rock, Alabama, born in Piedmont, Alabama, who passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior Esco and Pluma Gowens. He is survived by: his wife Helen Gowens; his children, Michael Gowens (Sheila), Wendy Gowens and Traci Gowens; and his siblings, Edward Gowens (Helen) and Joan Hill. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will accept flowers or donation may be made to Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
