He was predeceased by: his brother Joe Carver; and his parents, Irby Randolf Carver and Elsie Alpha Bobo. He is survived by: his children, James Carver (Amy), Kay Thomas (Jackie), Renee Godfrey (Scott) and Shaundra Young (Craig); and his sister Mattie "Tip" Hufstetler. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
