With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert Dean Murphy of Samson, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Murphy and Leora Olson Murphy; the mother of his children Margaret Pearl Gibson Murphy; his stepson David Christopher Williams; his brothers, Arthur and Stacy Murphy; and his son-in-law Jimmy Cecil Bryant.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Murphy; his children, Robert Edward Murphy (Cherrila) and Wanda Diane Bryant; and his stepson Steven Henry Williams (Misty). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home (2744 W Magnolia Ave, Samson, AL 36477). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Geneva Church of Christ, 602 W. Maple Ave., Geneva, AL 36340 in Mr. Bobby's memory.
