He was predeceased by: his father Vann Buren Ross, Sr.; and his brother William Lawrence Rayner. He is survived by: his wife Joan Hall of Samson, AL; his mother Joan Ross-McGuire of Newland, NC; his siblings, Linda Rayner Ellis of Spring City, TN, Vann Buren Ross (Kris) and Kathleen Ross Patterson; and also West Palm. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; two step- daughters.
