We are sad to announce that on May 15, 2023, at the age of 87, Lamar Gene Daniels Sr. of Samson, Alabama, born in Bonifay, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Zack Lincoln "Z. L."; his daughter Jena Daniels Stinson; and his siblings, Judith Daniels Walker and Donnie Zack Daniels. He is survived by: his wife Ann Crews Daniels; his son Lamar Gene Daniels, II (Starr); his grandchildren, Lamar Gene "Tripp" Daniels, III and Maddox Wilde Daniels; his son-in-law Darwin Patrick Stinson; his grandsons, Darwin Patrick Stinson, II (Ryleigh) and Daniel Peyton Stinson; his great grandchildren, Darwin Patrick "Emerson" Stinson, III and Lincoln Scott Stinson; his sister Carolyn Daniels Daughtry; and his sister-in-law Jeanette Hayes Daniels. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in memory of Mr. Daniels to Samson First Methodist Church 204 West Main Street, Samson, AL 36477.
