He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie James Black, Sr. and Verbie Annie Sims Black; his wife Lorene Black; and his daughter Elaine Moody. He is survived by: his children, Gwen Bedsole (Bobby) of Samson, Foyce Johnson of Samson, Debbie Williams (Waylon), Carolyn Watson (Webb) and James Black of Samson; and his sister Lorene Mauldin of Lake Wales, FL.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
