She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lizzie McDuffie and Rueben McDuffie; her husband Hubert Childs; her son Wilbur Childs; her brother Hurshel McDuffie; her daughter Emily Fitzgerald (William) of Knoxville, TN; her grandchildren, Amanda Coutta (Greg) of Knoxville, TN, David Hochnedel of Columbia, SC and Gretchen Caudill (Danny) of Fairbanks, AK; and her siblings, Cumi Whigham of Montgomery, AL, Howard McDuffie of Samson, AL and Erika Hutto (Mickey) of Hacoda. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests tributes be made to First Baptist Church of Samson.
