It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Lewis Herman Jr. of Samson, Alabama, born in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 4, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Boadman; and his stepfather Edward Boadman. He is survived by: his wife Laura Herman of Samson, AL; his children, Philip Herman (Chasity) and Megan Stockinger (Douglas); his stepchildren, Justin Bedsole (Mary) and Julie Bedsole; his grandchildren, Parker, Jameson, Olivia, Ayden, Madeleine and Wren; his siblings, Vicky Young, Dennis Herman, Dave Herman and Mae Willis; the mother of his children Leona Jensen; his parents-in-law, Sammy and Laura Messer; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Brown (Mikey), Sherrie Holley (Mark) and Brian Messer (Amanda). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made in Gene's memory to Camp Victory or New Prospect Baptist Church.
