She was predeceased by: her brother Bobby Sanders; and her brother-in-law Arnold Adams. She is survived by: her husband Brian Adams; her children, Lakin Brown (Xavier), Samuel Adams (Erica) and Cidney Adams; her grandchildren, Aiden, Aubrey Adams, Amira and Fiona Brown; her parents, Charles Sanders and Henrietta Sanders; her siblings, David Sanders and Linda Adams; her niece Sandra Wilkins (Donald); her nephew Lee Fortune (Cindy); and her friends, Diana Bryant, Kristy Grove, Paula Smedegard, Teresa Reed, Nita Hubbard, Beth Chancellor, Melissa Milligan, Miranda Stane, Teddy, Lexi and Chance. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in her honor to the Wounded Warrior Project (PO Box 758516, Topeka KS 66675-8516) or to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation (Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172).
