He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stoops and Esther Kepple Stoops; his son Michael Stoops; and his siblings, Ted Stoops, Evelyn Early, Lois Hilliard and Mary Ortz.
He is survived by: his significant other Regina Unger Stoops of Salem, AL; his daughter Patty Stoops Bozeman (Ronnie, Sr.) of Lake Martin, AL; and his brother James Stoops (Donna).
