It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Taft of Salem, Alabama, born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on July 7, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carey M. Taft and Anne Smith Taft; and his brothers, David Taft and Benny Taft. He is survived by: his children, Brandi Taft of Nashville, TN and Jason Taft (Mandy) of Columbus, GA; his close friend Debbie Clifton of Valley, AL; his brothers, Kenny Taft (Suzanne) of Waverly Hall, GA, Charley Taft (Susie) of Waverly Hall, GA and Melvin Taft of Dudley, NC; and his grandchildren, Corey Taft, Shelby Taft, Matthew Batastini and Cole Batastini. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
