She was predeceased by: her husband Gale Richard Morningstar; her parents, Fred Doan and Ethel Doan; and her sisters, Martha Pruney and Twila Hetrick.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Morningstar (Betsy) of Suffolk, VA, Michael Morningstar (Cindy) of Smiths Station, AL, Randy Morningstar (Anita) of Moore, OK, Crystal D. Morningstar-Hatcher of Salem, AL and Pat Ezell; and her grandchildren, Amanda, Jon, Rick, Chris, McKenzie, Michael, Randy Jaye, Dustin, Joshua and Jessica. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to Kindred Hospice in honor of Ms. Ruth.
