He was predeceased by: his parents, Flem Key, Jr. and Josie Mae Grier Key; his wife Brenda Key; his sisters, Joyce K. Veals and Patricia K. Morgan; and his daughter Shalome T. King.
He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Key (Rhonda), Linda Peabody (Edward), Jo Alice Cook, Vernell Key and Jeanette Murray; his grandmother Sallie Grier; and his granddaughters, Xziya Turner and Euriah Turner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
