She was predeceased by: her parent Reverend Milton L. Barnes, Jr.; and her nephew Rickey D. A. She is survived by: her mother Bessie Lee Barnes; her former husband Wendell E. Magee, Sr.; her children, Wendell E. Magee, Jr. and VaLesa Magee; and her siblings, Antonio Milton Peters, Richard L. Barnes, Joanne Barnes Wheat (Rickey) and Angela Barnes Robinson (Mike). She is also survived by two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece, four nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She specialized in advance swallowing techniques in order to give persons with Alzheimer's Disease/Dementia and other neurological conditions a chance to have a better quality of life.
