It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Frank Nelson of Salem, Alabama, born in Valley, Alabama, who passed away on August 21, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurtley Nelson and Mary Mann Nelson; his wife Patricia Palmer Nelson; and his siblings, Wyatt Nelson, Sharon Nelson Coleman and Marvin Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Rachel Mitchell (Jason), Sherry Lee (Jerry), Beau Nelson (Cassie), Joshua Nelson (Kayla), Shane Nelson, Frankie Kay Owens, Angie Doster (Bruce) and Tony Graham; his close friend Patricia Burrows; his siblings, Elaine Overcash, Margie Collum and Edward Nelson; and his grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, David, Brittany, Summer, Charlie, Elijah, Evalynn, Haylee, Payton, Kindal, Drew and J. C.. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
