He was predeceased by: his parents, Cannie Kendrick Pope and Imojean Kirkland Pope; and his sister Jean Wyatt (Hugh). He is survived by: his wife Virginia Pitts Pope; his son Kirkland Pope (Donna) of Atlanta; his grandsons, Dalton Watts and Cole Watts; his son Matthew Pope of Columbus; his grandson John Pope; his son Wesley Williams of Fairhope; his grandchildren, Clay Williams and Christina Williams; his daughter Elizabeth Holmes (John) of Atlanta; and his grandchildren, William Holmes and Virginia Holmes.
