She was predeceased by: her parents, Rance Henry Powell, Sr. and Helen Ludene Keith Powell; her husbands, Hiram Tarver and Lister Blackmon; her son Randy Tarver; her grandson Nic Coker; and her brothers, James Rance Powell, Jr., Robert Powell, Billy Ray Powell and Joel Powell.

She is survived by: her children, James "Duffy" Tarver (Kim) and Debra "Sam" Coker; her grandchildren, Clint Coker, Tiffany Deas (Josh), Brandon Tarver (Morgan) and Mason Edwards; and her great grandchildren, Lexi Deas, Emileigh Coker, Landon Deas, Justice Edwards, Baylee Coker, Kelcey Coker and Evelyn Tarver. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
