He was predeceased by: his parents, Sid Pounders and Ruby Pounders (Malone); his siblings, Agnes Lou Lindsey, Mae Lee Pounders and Ray Wilson Pounders; his parents-in-law, George and Mary Winstead; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Burns, Louise Kimbrough, JoNell Wilson and George D. Winstead.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Winstead Pounders; his children, Steve Pounders (Kathy) and Cindy Mashburn (Tommy); his grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Andrea Mashburn, Ginger Hill and Sam Barton; his great grandchildren, Austen Baker, Lucas Hill, Kiera Smith, Ella Cochran and Halli Cochran; his cousins, Max Todd and Major Pounders; and his siblings-in-law, Judy West, Jerline Bolton (Wayne) and Willie Lindsey. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
