It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Joseph Foster of Russellville, Alabama, born in Hackleburg, Alabama, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry Foster and Mamie Dillard Foster; his wife Judith Ann Scharnagel Foster; his sisters, Louise Foster Whitten and Virginia Foster McLendon; and his great grandchild Beckham Foster Burgess.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Alexander Foster (Nancy) and Ann Scharnagel Foster Burgess (Terry); his grandchildren, William Jennings Burgess (Candace), Allen Foster Burgess (Emily), Elizabeth Foster Lawson (Corey), John Alexander Foster, Anna Claire Burgess Merck (Mike) and Christian Earl Foster; and his great grandchildren, Jude Thomas Burgess and Clara Annalise Burgess.
