It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vermey Greene of Russellville, Alabama, born in Georgiana, Alabama, who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Conrad Dale Greene; her parents, Earnest Eugene and Bonnie Lou Myrick Knotts; and her siblings, Alvin Knotts, James Knotts, Morris Knotts, Florene Rasch and Brewer.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Greene of Russellville, Susan Carter (Fray) of Russellville, David Greene of Russellville and Peter Greene (Laura) of Hendersonville, TN; her grandchildren, Dale Carter, Hank Carter, Mary Deckard and Peter Greene; her sister Lucille Spencer of Gilmer, TX; and also Kelly Hulsey. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Jeanette Niven Social Work Scholarship, University of Montevallo, or the American Diabetes Association.
