He is survived by: his daughters, Brittany Vander Maas (Baron) and Sandra Gruss; his grandchildren, Sophie Gruss, Sam Gruss and Ezra Vander Maas; and his brother Bill Smith (Juanita). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
