He was predeceased by: his daughter Christina Bohannon; his granddaughter Katlynn Palmer; his parents, James "Buddy" Palmer and Birda Mae Gann (Griffus); his stepfather Eules Gann; and his siblings, Shirley Patterson, Betty Anne Barnett, Charles Gann and Johnny Gann.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy James Palmer; his sons, Kevin Palmer (Crissy) and Brent Palmer (Ashley); his grandchildren, Brianna Perry (Jonathan), Ben Palmer, Briley Palmer and Kendale Palmer; his siblings, Micheal Palmer, Lee Gann (Brenda), Gail Reese (Stevie), Terry Gann (Gail), Sandra Palmer (Karl) and Nancy Elrod (DJ); and his pets, Peanut and Daisy. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
