She was predeceased by: her parents, Wille Yancey and Emma Yancey (Scott); her husband Charles L. Hamilton, Jr.; her daughter Pamela Ann Hamilton; and her siblings, Robert, Willie Yancey, Beatrice Robinson and Myrtle Yancey.
She is survived by: her son Charles L. Hamilton, III of Russellville, AL; her grandchildren, Jocelyn Williams (Telly) of Columbus, OH, Tamela Simone Gipson (Rodricus) of Bessemer, AL and Dionte Robinson of Akron, OH; her great grandchildren, Douglas Keaton, David Williams, Charles Williams of Columbus, OH, Simya and Indya Gipson of Bessemer, AL; and her goddaughter LaJoyce Harris (Sidney) of Ravenna, OH. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of great friends.
