He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Borden and Bessie Borden; his siblings, Talmadge "Tom" Borden, Roe Borden, Arvis Borden, Herbert "Boots" Borden, Charles Borden, Eva Borden, Marie Berry and Catherine Benson; his son Michael Borden; and his great grandchild Caden Yates.
He is survived by: his children, Caroline Byerley (Ricky), Paula Miller, Stephen Borden (Alicia), Sabrina Simpson (Derrick), Johnny Allen (Sarah) and David Bostic; and his siblings, Barbara Kennedy, Mac, Paul and Franklin Borden. He is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
