He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Mayfield and Bessie Dale Hale Mayfield; and his siblings, Doris Allen, O. C. Mayfield, Wayne Mayfield and Larry Mayfield.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Jones Mayfield; his children, Elaine Lawson (Van) and Vic Mayfield (Renee); his grandchildren, Chris Lawson (Candie), Nathan James, Chris Scott, Chase Mayfield and John Barbosa (Sarah); and his great grandchildren, Payton Scott, Emmie Scott, Bryn Scott, Ava Barbosa, Parker Barbosa and Ellie Lawson. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
