It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva Petty (Russellville, Alabama), born in Parrish, Alabama, who passed away on May 23, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Slocumb and Ida Slocumb; her husband Billy Petty; and her siblings, Doris Johnsey, Eunice Currington and Deotis Slocumb.

She is survived by: her children, Andrea Petty Burch, Barry Mitchell Petty, Leslie Petty Hosey and Bryant Edward Petty; her grandchildren, Joshua Laster, Mitchell Petty, Emma Petty, Anna Hosey and Jessica Hosey Applewhite; and her great grandchildren, Jason, Luke and Arabella Laster.
