He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Sparks and Annie Sparks (Willis); his brother Billy Sparks; his former wife Vernie Wade Sparks; and his granddaughter Brittany Sparks.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Childers Sparks; his sons, Danny Sparks, Randy Sparks and Greg Sparks; his grandchildren, Brandon (Lisa), Crystal (Jonathan), Chase, Justin, Caitlin, Tucker and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Madelyn, McKenzy, Landon, Brynn and Luke; and his siblings, Jimmy Sparks and Mary Ann Fulmer. He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews.
