She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Austeen Murphy; her parents, Isaac N. Duboise and Lizzie Vinson Duboise; her brother Finch A. Duboise; and her brother-in-law Wayne Allen.

She is survived by: her children, Joe D. Murphy (Pamela) and Janet Miller (Rick); her grandchildren, Amber Murphy Parris (John), Missy Miller and Melinda Miller Thomas (Wesley); her great grandchild Patrick Murphy Parris; her sisters, Betty Allen and Sue Duboise Weeks (Hugh); and her sister-in-law Linda Duboise. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
