He was predeceased by: his parents, Sid Willis and Nellie Gist Willis; his wife Rozella Willis; his son Steve Willis (Glenda Bachman); and his siblings, James, Floyd, Arlie, Simpson, Howard, Lucille, Wallace, Christine and Harold.

He is survived by: his sister Maxine Cox; his daughters, Kimberly Willis and Courtney Arrigore; and his nephew Mark Borden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and several grandchildren.
