He was predeceased by: his former wife Kathy Dianne Fretwell; his parents, James Bascomb Fretwell and Lassie Lorene Smith Fretwell; and his siblings, Bobby Gene Fretwell, William Larry Fretwell and Shirley Ann Canup.
He is survived by: his spouse Carolyn Ann Wellington Fretwell; his child Jennye Dianne Mayfield (Willard); his stepchildren, LaShawn Fortuna (Manuel), James Ray Wellington and Kayla Renee Wellington; his grandchildren, Justin Thomas Mayfield and Ashley Kristina (Eric); his stepgrandchildren, Abraham Mojica, Adriana Mojica, Marisela Batz, Brody Wellington, Gracie Wellington, Jack Wellington, Natalie Coronado, Abby Coronado and Kloe Coronado; his great grandchildren, Brysun Fugate and Julye Fugate; and his siblings, Ray Fretwell (Betty), Benny Fretwell (Kathie), Gladys Curnutt, Gary Fretwell (Brenda), Denise Pounders, Randy Fretwell, Ronald Fretwell (Renee) and John Fretwell. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
