It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bruce Gargus Newton of Russellville, Alabama, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Quincy Newton and Doris Wayne Gargus Newton; his parents-in-law, Jessie Leon Roden and Lillie Pearl Sparks Roden; his siblings-in-law, Jimmy, Barry, Buddy Roden, Boyce Harville, Paulette Roden and Melanie Harville; and his great grandchild Oaklynn Rose Newton.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Ann Roden Newton; his children, Christopher Bruce Newton (Amanda) and Jessie Lynn Newton Davis (Brian Matthew Davis); his grandchildren, Mason Newton (Meagan), Braden Newton (Kaidin), Kilan Newton (Destiny), Weston Davis (Ana), Clara Lynn Davis Howell (Hogan) and Abigail Bell (Jackson); his great grandchildren, Levi, Nate, Oliver, Josie Kay Newton, Kaylee and Raelynn Bell; his brother Robert Wayne Newton of Homewood, AL; his brothers-in-law, Don Roden (Marina) and Melvin Roden; and his pet Riley. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins.
