Althea Jett Starling Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Althea Jett Starling of Russellville, Alabama, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Theophilus Jett and Mae Ola Jett; her husband Roy Earl Starling; her grandson Wallace Burch; and her sons-in-law, Kenneth Gilliam and Monte Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Alison Starling Gilliam, Nancy Starling Foster (Joe), John Ivey Starling II (Tena), Adrienne Starling Moore and Carmen Hemlock Daniels (Mark); and her brother A. J. Jett (Carolyn). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the North Highlands Church of Christ (2101 N Jackson Ave, Russellville, AL 35653). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the Edgewood-Greenwood Cemetery (141 Edgewood St, Apopka, FL 32703).
