He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jean Hudson Snoddy; his fathers, Clyde Patrick and Vernon Priscilla Smitherman Snoddy; and his siblings, Virgil Clarence Snoddy, Annie Mae Waddell, James Aralee Snoddy, Paul Crafton Snoddy, David Franklin Snoddy and Johnny Morris Snoddy.

He is survived by: his daughter Betty Denise "Fruitsie" Snoddy; his grandson Blake Ells; and his sisters, Frances Leano Ingrum, Sara Helen Alexander, Shirley Priscilla Smith (Bobby) and Lillie Doris Bates (Shorty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
