He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis Gray and Lucille Gray; his brother Charles Edward Gray; and his sister-in-law Mildred Gray. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Green Gray; his children, Jeff Gray (Jennifer) and Jennifer Thigpen; his grandchildren, Kirk Thigpen, Colby Thigpen (AnnaBeth), Sydney McGaughey (John) and Connor Gray (Payton); and his great grandchildren, Chloe Thigpen, Reece Thigpen, Charli Jo Thigpen, Madison Purdy, Kaitlyn Wisdom, Ty Caperton, Kylee Goode, John Goode and Memphis Goode.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greenhill Funeral Home (8450 US-43, Florence, AL 35634). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenhill Cemetery (820 Co Rd 144, Killen, AL 35645).
