It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernice Jeanette Springer of Rogersville, Alabama, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Alvoyd Springer; her parents, Freeman Davis and Kate Davis; her brother Harold Davis; her son-in-law Mark Shelton; and her grandson Lucas James Boykin.

She is survived by: her daughters, Shelia K. Shelton and Ginger Boykin (Jimbo); her granddaughter Tiffany Hines (Corey); and her siblings, Bobby Davis (Ruth), Carolyn Tidwell, Martha Thornton, Sherry Smith and Brenda Thigpen.
