He was predeceased by: his parents, William Heaton and Grace Heaton; his brothers, Ronald and Robert Heaton; and his grandson Colin Chase Griffaw.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Heaton (Libby); his siblings, William Heaton and Joan Doelling; and his children, Michelle Heaton, Lorie Horner, Karen Heaton, Jackie Griffaw, Bryan Griffaw (Julie), Edward McWilliams and Michael McWilliams (Amy). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
