With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elvy Marie Hammond of Rogersville, Alabama, born in Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on June 18, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Otis and Mattie Ovanda Red; and her brothers, John Charles and Willis Clayton Red. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Jerome Hammond; her sons, Paul Alan Hammond and Kevin Ray Hammond; her sister Virginia Elmyra Thompson; her nephews, Clayton Otis Red, Charles David Red and Gerald Keith Red; her niece Kathy Marie Red Clements; her grandchildren, Nicholas Travis Hammond, Walker Ray Hammond, Jason Paul Hammond and Lanie Marie Hammond; and her great grandchild Coulter Blythe Hammond.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gideons.
