He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Lavern Tate; his wife Toni Sewell Tate; his children, Tia Thornton, Carla Clemons (Jerrod) and Jacob Tate (Kelli); his grandchildren, Grant Thornton, Grayson Thornton, Layne Cross, Colt Clemons and Tate Clemons; his mother Marlene Thomas; his stepmother Sandra Tate; his siblings, Linda, Cindy, Bill and Laura; and his sisters-in-law, Tina Belue (Mike) and Tana Springer (Sammy). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
