“I had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Leonard as Trustee Leonard, a member of the UA System Board of Trustees. Trustee Leonard was truly a remarkable woman. She always had a smile and took a moment or two to chat with me. I remember a trip to the Bahamas for the UAB Bowl Game when she told me she was planning to pamper herself with room service and a pedicure, which she did. During the game, she was one of the most ardent cheerleaders for UAB. Sending prayers for comfort to the family.”
