He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Benjamin Dallas Barton and Sally Linnie Martin Barton; his wife Suzanne Barton; and his siblings, Frances Barton McLemore, Tolulah Hortense Guthery, Harold Barton, George Ellis Barton, Billy Frank Barton and Jacob Dallas Barton.
He is survived by: his daughter Kelli; his son-in-law Matt Frutchey of Rockford; his sisters, Shirley Barton Kirby of Rockford and Patsy Barton Lamberth of Weirsdale, FL; and his nieces and nephews, Jimmy Edward Guthery, Carl Lester Guthery, Jr., Linda Gail Rose and Susie Kirby.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
