He was predeceased by: his father C. Callaway Barnard; his sister-in-law Jennifer Callaway; and his grandparents, Joseph (Bid), Gloria Callaway, Fletcher and Vela Mae Kirchharr.

He is survived by: his mother Patricia Barnard (Richard); his wife Virginia Callaway (Ginny); his children, Candace, Calleigh Callaway and Wesley Chad Callaway II; his brother Waylon Callaway (Nicky); and his niece Shelby Holland (Heath). He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Fisherman's Baptist Church (17117 River Rd, Bon Secour, AL 36511). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fishermen Baptist Church (17117 River Rd, Bon Secour, AL 36511). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
