He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pierce and Lucille Pierce; and his siblings, Iris Jean Ryals (Joel Ryals), Jerry Pierce and Gary Pierce.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Darlene Pierce; and his siblings, Gloria Pierce Mixon, Joanna Glover (Denson) and William Arthur Pierce. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
