He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Bertolla and Irene Bertolla; his grandson Forrest Henderson; and his stepson Richard Page. He is survived by: his wife Mae Bertolla; his children, Adam Bertolla (Stacee), Ray Bertolla (Julie), Keith Bertolla (Ashleigh) and Courtney Bertolla Henderson; his stepson Toby Pryear (Jessica); his grandchildren, Lexee Bertolla, Allee Bertolla, Gatlin Bertolla (Cami), Grayson Bertolla, Gavin Bertolla, Lucy Bertolla, Haley Pryear, Jaiden Peterson and Jared Jackson; his great grandchildren, Rhett, Kathleen Bertolla, Braylon and Brightyn Williams; and his sister Madeline Darby (Benny).
