With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Douglas Banister Sr. (Robertsdale, Alabama), who passed away on September 23, 2022 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Nell Hilliard Banister and Albert Parker Banister. He is survived by: his sister Nancy Clements; his wife Cynthia Banister (Cindy); and his children, Ashley Thompson, Sharmin McWhorter, John Banister, Jr., Amy Stratton, Audra Lyons and Cody Banister. He is also survived by cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family asks that any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in order to help fight this terrible disease.
