She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Ard and Bertha Ard; her siblings, Wilburn and Alline; and her son John Michael Dales.

She is survived by: her children, Sherry Fitkin (Sammy), Amber Dales (Sky Brown) and George Ard (Jackie Bentley); and her siblings, Franklin Ard, Johnny Ard and Nancy Fitkin. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Association for Cancer Research.
